"Yeah, I kind of feel bad for her because she has no family and kidney stones and stuff." - LinZ

Long story short, LinZ and me got two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtracks.

Hers is from the series, but mine is from the feature film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.

Oh god, it's beautiful. I am so very proud to own this cassette tape.

This is the track listing:

1. Tarzan Boy - Baltimora
2. Can't Stop The Rockin' - ZZ Top
3. Rockin' Over The Beat - Technotronic feat. Ya Kid K
4. Conga - The Bario Boyzz
5. Tarzan Boy (Remix) - Baltimora
6. Turtle Jam - Psychedelic Dust feat. Loose Bruce
7. Fighter - Definition of Sound
8. Yoshi's Theme - John DuPrez and Ocean Music
9. Turtle Power - Partners in Kryme
10. Rockin' Over The Beat (Remix) - Technotronic feat. Ya Kid K

After a few listens of the soundtrack, I'm convinced that with the exception of ZZ Top, they're actually all the same band.

And I have to share these fabulous lyrics with you.

"Turtle Jam" by Psychedelic Dust feat. Loose Bruce

Intro: 1993 y'all, straight from the sewer,
Ninja Turtles comin' out strong in full effect, y'all
Come on, pump it up pump it up!

Let me break it down to the nitty gritty,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the city.
They kick it, they rip it, straight from the underground,
Clown around in town make you jump around.
Bust a move that makes you want to groove-a,
Hit you so hard like a Heimlich maneuva.
Riggedy wreck a few, doggin' up food
Make you wanna say "Cowabunga, dude!"
Swift and smooth just like a superhero,
All good fellas like my man, Deniro.
Never wack, on attack, turtles be all that,
Livin' fat cause that kick it like that.

Chorus: Get down, get down
Get down, get down, the TURTLE JAM.
Get down, get down
Get down, get down, yeah yeah yeah
They jam it like this, we jam it like that. (3X)
The TURTLE JAM!

They rip it, they rip it, the turtles come to kick it,
In the midnight hour like Wilson Pickett.
Boogedy, oogedy, woogedy, not the bugle boy,
They sport tortoise shells takin' out toys.
Kung fu grip on a hiphop tip,
They kick drop, they flip flop, they take it to the tip top
Freakin' a funk, they got it like that,
Better than Beretta and smooth like Kojak.
Straight from the sewer, not from the bowl,
Kick more sole than Dr. Scholl's.
Pizza pie eatin' guys, chill like that,
Don't need to deal a meal cause they kick it like that.

Chorus

Yo, who got the skills to pay the bills,
Make you want to chill cause it's like vaudeville.
The ninja turtles hittin' like no others,
Not Groucho, but funny like the Marx Brothers.
Michaelangelo and Leonardo,
Grand like Poobah and livin' large.
Yo, Raphael can kick it well,
Hard as shell, don't forget Donatell-
O, you know you can't deny them,
They're funky teenagers like Frankie Lymon.
There's no question, who's the mack?
The ninja turtles, cause they kick it like that!

Yes.

Loose Bruce for president, I say.

In some of the other songs they throw in these subliminal inspirational messages like, "When you stand for what you believe in, and find the strength to do what's right; that's turtle power. Stay in school."

And Carrolltown Center is the place to be.

And Katie and me are dropping really crazy notes around the school again.

They all say "PRIVATE!" on the exterior, and say stuff like "keep on truckin'" or "pancakes, what?!" or have a picture of Mr. Peanut when you open them.

Wow it feels neat to be a gangsta.
